TOP GEAR: Once More Unto the Breach, Dear Friends

Plan now to stop at the grocery store for popcorn on the way home, because tonight’s episode of Top Gear simply screams out for entertainment-related foodstuffs. The boys are going to build amphibious vehicles and attempt to cross the English Channel. The best part? Episode descriptions state that the team is trying to build amphibious vehicles once again. They’ve tried this lunacy once before and are giving it another go. That right there is Top Gear in a nutshell. Can’t wait to curl up with a bowl of popcorn, a drink with a bendy straw, and “Flight of the Valkyries,” which there is a very good chance they’ll use. Can the Top Gear crew accomplish what Napoleon could not? Wouldn’t bet against them.

  1. I haven’t watched it yet but from the previews it looks like they’re taking their previous amphibious vehicles and upgrading them! That’s hilarity right there! If you haven’t seen the previous amphibious vehicle episode FIND IT NOW. I still get pains in my sides from laughing.

  2. I love how they made it to France! All together! Man, I was dying last night. We actually watched it two times in a row and laughed just as hard both times. I want to find the footage the people on the pier were shooting! And I would have loved to been on that SeaCat – I would have done the same thing – run to the side with my camera screaming, “Jeremy!!”

  3. “And Jeremy bravely followed suit.”

hee! You know, I went to youtube to rewatch the clips and someone has the whole episode up in multiple parts. But he has the original version from the BBC and there are parts cut out for our broadcast! Bugger! So, rewatch b/c some of the VOs and cuts make more sense.
