Will MOONLIGHT Rise from the Dead?
Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that there’s a chance–just a chance, mind you–that canceled CBS drama Moonlight may get a second life. Media Rights Capital, which has been outsourced to program Sunday night for the CW, may be looking to take on the vampire show. Reportedly, Warner Bros. TV is holding off on tearing down the sets until Friday, when the show’s fate will be settled, one way or another.
Since Moonlight averaged twice the viewers of buzz-heavy Gossip Girl, it could conceivably be the highest rated CW series… ever. Stick that in your neck and suck it, CBS.
UPDATE: Deadline Hollywood Daily is now saying that MRC has passed on Moonlight for both fall and midseason. Which means it’s really dead. For good, this time.
