12 Days of Bacon: Day Seven

On the seventh day of Christmas, my Bacon gave to me…

That, of course, is where Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, delightful denziens of Animaniacs, live. And it’s where Wakko is unsuccessfully trying to write a letter to Santa. If you can’t spell “Santa”, you can’t send him a list, now can you?

While contemplating what kind of schooling left Wakko thinking there’s an L in Santa, your thoughts might turn to literacy in general. Christmas would be a great time to make sure every child has a book, as the folks at Reach Out and Read do by encouraging health care professionals to discuss the importance of reading with parents and give out books.
