12 Days of Bacon: Day Three

On the third day of Christmas, my Bacon gave to meeeee:…a piano-playing Huuuuugh Lauriiiiieeeee!

A dying nun tests House’s faith-or-lack-thereof, and you know how much he hates that. But not even House can let a nun die on Christmas, and after saving the day he graces us with a lovely version of “Silent Night” (and, given Hugh Laurie’s well-documented musical talents, you can be sure that’s really him playing).

Hospitals are no place to spend the holidays; if House’s melancholy makes you want to fix things, there are lots of foundations devoted to ending disease and suffering that could use your help around this time of year. We like the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, which fights breast cancer, but House and his associates might suggest the Lupus Foundation of America. Whatever you might choose, let’s all hope there won’t be a need to fight it next Christmas.
