Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku Returning to Television!
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello has broken the news that Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku are re-teaming for a new series for Fox Television. Fox has already ordered seven episodes, the first of which may even premiere as early as April. But it gets better: Whedon will be serving as head writer/showrunner of the series, titled Dollhouse, and Whedonverse alum Tim Minear is also reportedly on board. Hop over to Ausiello’s Blog for more details, or check out this article in Variety.
I can’t tell you how much this news makes our toes tingle here at TV Bacon. It’s been far too long since Master Whedon graced our televisions with new fare. But since it’s on Fox I have to wonder: Exactly how many of those seven episodes will they bother to air before abruptly canceling the show? Shall we start the pool now?
